Greetings to members (present and past) of the NSGA:
Happy New Year from the Nebraska Senior Golf Association. Membership is now open for the 2024 season. We had a slight increase in our annual membership cost, now at $32. Additionally, transactions for 2024 membership and event entries are to be completed online (through our web page). Visit our website at www.nebsrgolf.org for more details.
Our itinerary is still in process as we finalize details and contracts with our host clubs. We have posted a tentative schedule for your review and planning. Most of you know the recent golf boon has brought more pressure on clubs and courses relating to costs and availability. Some private courses are cutting back on, or eliminating, outside events, and most are raising their prices and asking us for guarantees. Unfortunately, we have to pass these costs on to our members as we continue to provide golfing opportunities at the best local private clubs available.
At this time, we are still looking for 2024 sponsors to help allay costs. If you, or your business, are in a position to help and would like the extra exposure to up to 400 male senior golfers, please contact me. Sponsors receive a lot of exposure on our web site, our Golf Genius scoring software, and at our events. Please patronize and thank the sponsors we have.
A special shout out to NSGA board member and Technology Director, Tim Janecek, for implementing numerous updates to our website for 2024. If you have any pictures or suggestions for something else to post, let us know.
The days are getting longer and we will be playing golf sooner than you think. Renew your membership now and you will be ready when we open up events (approximately March 1st).
